Ultimamente avevo voglia di nuovi braccialetti e appena ho avuto un pò di tempo libero mi sono messa all'opera! Sono tutti realizzati in filo armonico mentre i materiali sono diversi per ognuno di loro.

I desperetely needed new bracelets and I finally found some time to create them, they are all made using an armonic thread but the materials are different for each one.

Il primo è stato realizzato con dei pezzi di stoffa, ci vuole molta pazienza per inserirli nel filo armonico ma l'effetto è molto carino e poi tiene il polso caldo che di questo periodo è utile!

The first one was made with small pieces of fabric, it takes a lot of patience to put the pieces on the armonic thread but the final effect is really nice and it keeps your wrist warm which is a nice plus during this time of the year!

Per il secondo ho utilizzato pietre naturali, cristalli swarovski tutti nei toni dell'azzurro che adoro e componenti in argento indiano!

For the second one I used natural stones, swarovski crystals all in the blue tones that I adore and indian silver elements! I

Il terzo e ultimo è stato realizzato con cristalli swarovski e pietre quadrate in materiale plastico. Un bacio e a presto!

Questa settimana sono stata alla Cake Design Week e Cioccoland qui a Napoli, una golosona come me non poteva lasciarsi sfuggire un evento simile!! Passando tra gli stand dedicati al cioccolato era impossibile resistere al profumo e non assaggiare qualcosa, ma la cosa che mi ha colpito di più è stata l'esposizione delle torte fatte da cake designer. Sono veramente delle opere d'arte e personalmente non riuscirei mai a mangiarle, mi dispiacerebbe troppo distruggerle! Vi lascio alcune foto delle torte e a presto!!

This week I have been to the Cake Design Week and Cioccoland here in Naples, a chocolate lover like me couldn't miss an event like this!!
Walking near the stands dedicated to chocolate you couldn't resist the perfume but what really surprised me were the cake designer exibition. Those cakes are works of art and personally I will never be able to destroy one to eat it! I leave you some photos below and hope to write again soon!!

Finalmente torno a scrivere, avevo programmato questo post da una vita ma quest'ultimo mese è mancato il tempo e l'ispirazione per scriverlo. In uno dei miei momenti di "art attack" ho deciso di provare a fare un portaorecchini usando materiale che avevo in casa, non so voi ma io sono una collezionista di orecchini ne ho fin troppi e ne comprerei sempre di nuovi!
Finora erano tutti sparsi in vari contenitori e finivo per mettere sempre gli stessi non avendoli tutti a portata d'occhio e così in un pomeriggio d'estate è arrivato lui.

Finally I'm back, I planned this post a long time ago but this month I hadn't the inspiration or time to write it down. In one of my "art attack" moment I decided to try doing an homemade earring holder, I am a huge earring collector and I have to resist the urge to buy more!
Since now they were scattered in different jewel boxes and I ended up wearing always the same ones and so in a summer afternoon this was made.


La struttura è fatta con tre pezzi di una scatola per spedizioni postali ed è rivestita con della plastica adesiva e sopra ho usato dei vecchi centrini tenuti insieme con dei nastrini, penso che sia venuto bene,che ne dite?

The structure is made with three pieces of a mail box cladded with an adhesive plastic and over it I used old doilies kept together with ribbons, I think it's pretty good don't you think?

Buonasera!!Vi presento l'ultimo acquisto : Mint Apple della Sinful Colors! Era da molto che volevo uno smalto di questo colore visto che va tanto di moda e il verde è anche uno dei miei colori preferiti!!
E' entrato nella top ten dei miei smalti preferiti sia perchè è un colore molto particolare (verde menta shimmer) ma soprattutto perchè mi è durato ben 6 giorni, un record assoluto!! L'unico punto "negativo" è che non è molto coprente quindi ci vogliono due passate per avere la giusta coprenza.
Nelle foto potete vedere il risultato con due passate di smalto e una di top coat (Better Than Gel Nails). Alla prossima!

Hello!!!This is my latest nail polish : Mint Apple by Sinful Colors! I wanted to buy a nail polish like this one for a long time since it's a trendy color and green is also one of my favourite colors!!
It debuted in my nail polish top ten because it's a really unique color (shimmer mint green) but also because it lasted 6 days on my nails, an absolute record!! The only "negative" point I found it's that you'll need at least two coats to achieve full coverage.
In the photos you can see the result with two coats of Mint Apple and one of Essence Better Than Gel Nails top coat. See you soon!

Dopo il mio primo esperimento in cucina ci ho preso gusto e ho deciso di provare questa ricetta per la torta delice che ho trovato su internet (purtroppo non ricordo il sito). Questa è la ricetta con le foto del risultato (fatte con il telefono quindi scusatemi per la qualità schifosa) :

Ingredienti :
4 uova
200 gr di farina
100 gr di burro
100 gr di zucchero
4 cucchiai di cacao amaro
1 tazzina di latte
1 bustina di lievito
500 ml di panna montata
500 gr di nutella
100 gr di cioccolato fondente

Preparazione :
Lavorare separatamente i tuorli e gli albumi e poi aggiungere tutti gli ingredienti tranne la panna montata, la nutella e i 100 gr di cioccolato fondente.
Amalgamare bene il tutto con una frusta elettrica fino ad ottenere un impasto liscio e quasi spumoso . Versare l'impasto ottenuto in una teglia imburrata di circa 25 centimenti di diametro e infornare a 180° per 30/40 minuti.
Controllare la cottura con uno stuzzicadenti, estrarla dal forno e lasciarla raffreddare completamente.
Nel frattempo sciogliere la nutella a bagnomaria, tagliare la torta in due nel senso orizzontale in modo da poterla successivamente farcire, a questo punto farcire la torta con la panna montata e la nutella. Ricomporla e spalmare la superficie con una crema composta da 50 gr di panna e 100 gr di cioccolato fondente sciolto a bagnomaria. Conservare la torta in frigo.

I enjoyed so much my first experiment in the kitchen that I decided to give this recipe a try ( I found it on the internet but I don't remember the website). This is the recipe with the photos of the result (sorry for the low quality but I took them with my phone):

Ingredients:
4 eggs
200 gr of flour
100 gr of butter
100 gr of sugar
4 spoon of dark chocolate powder
1 coffee cup of milk
1 sachet baking powder
500 ml of whipped cream
500 gr of nutella
100 gr of dark chocolate

Preparation:
Whisk separately yolks and whites and then add all the ingredients except the whipped cream, the nutella and the 100 gr of dark chocolate.
Mix well everything electric whisk and pour the mixture in a buttered pan with a diameter of almost 25 cm and put it in the oven at 180° Celsius for 30/40 minutes. Check the cooking with a toothpick, take the cake outside the oven and let it cool down.
Meanwhile melt the nutella, then cut the cake in two horizontal pieces and fill them with nutella and whipped cream. Recompose the two pieces and spread the upper part with a cream made with 50 gr of whipped cream and 100 gr of melted dark chocolate.Keep the cake in the fridge.

Oggi inauguro una nuova rubrica dedicata alle ricette e ai miei "esperimenti" culinari, in genere non sono una che si impegna molto in cucina più che altro riesco a sopravvivere se rimango da sola a casa. Un paio di settimane fa mi è venuta voglia di provare a fare un dolce semplice ( visto che amo soprattutto mangiarli con buona pace della prova costume), così mi sono messa alla ricerca su internet e per puro caso ho trovato questa fantastica ricetta della cheesecake pan di stelle e cioccolato fondente di Daniela di Cucina libri & gatti e ho deciso di provarla!
Miracolosamente è riuscita bene e l'ho anke rifatta per la laurea di una mia cara amica e la potete vedere nella foto qui sotto. Visto il risultato può essere che inizierò a passare più tempo in cucina, sempre che non esploda durante uno dei miei esperimenti :P A presto!


Today I'll start a new section dedicated to recipes and to my "experiments" in the kitchen, normally I don't do much in the kitchen and I'm barely able to survive if I'm home alone.
A couple weeks ago I thought about trying to do a simple cake (since I especially love eating cakes putting myself in trouble with my weight), so I searched on google and I found this fantastic recipe of  a dark chocolate and pan di stelle cheesecake by Daniela of Cucina libri & gatti and I decided to give it a try!
A miracle happened because I did it well and I did this cake again for a dear friend of mine graduation and you can see the result below. Maybe I'll be more in the kitchen in the future, if it doesn't explode during one of my experiment :P See you soon!

Non vi ho mai detto che soffro di New York mania, ci sono stata due volte e sogno di ritornarci ma il mio amore per New York è nato molto prima della mia visita. Probabilmente è stata colpa di film come "Mamma ho perso l'aereo" o "Miracolo sulla 34esima strada" che avrò visto centinaia di volte e così fin da piccola ho sognato di andarci. Probabilmente se non avessi così paura dell'aereo, e soprattutto soldi, ci andrei ogni anno. Qualche giorno fa ho scoperto questo video e l'avrò rivisto almeno una decina di volte, le luci di Manhattan sono qualcosa di unico e forse lo si può capire solo avendole viste dal vivo ma questo video si avvicina molto alla realtà, spero vi piaccia!

I've never told you that I'm a New York maniac, I went there two times and I dream of another trip but my love for that city started a long time before my first visit. Probably I saw too many times "Home Alone II" and "Miracle on 34th Street" as a child but I dreamt of seeing New York since childhood. A couple of days ago I found this video and I kept hittin the replay button, Manhattan lights are unique and probably you can understand what I mean only if have seen them but this video is really close to reality, I hope you like it!

Buonasera!!! Visto che la primavera si sta facendo desiderare per tirarmi su mi sono messa alla ricerca di nuove idee e la mia mamma mi è venuta in soccorso con questo bel fiore ad uncinetto!!
Ho deciso di utilizzarlo per una collana e ho utilizzato cristalli e biconi swaroski che richiamassero i colori del fiore, il risultato mi garba molto e credo ci sarà un'invasione di fiori prossimamente!!

Hello!! Spring is really late here in Italy and to lift myself up I thought about new ideas and my mom helped me with this beautiful crochet flower!!
I decided to use it for a necklace and I used swarovski crystals that reminded the flower's colors, I love the result and I think there will be a flower profusion very soon!!

Buonasera!!!sono ufficialmente dottoressa e ,visto che non riesco a stare senza far niente, mi sono dedicata al restauro di alcune fotografie di famiglia che stavano cominciando ad ingiallire.

Hello!!!I'm ufficially a doctor in architecture and ,since I always have to keep my hand busy, I'm currently restorating some family photos that started to get yellowish.
Photography it's another hobby of mine and from time to time I "play" with Photoshop, needless to say it's a very useful software also for photos restoration. I'll post some useful links I've used to learn how to make my photos "look younger", I hope you'll find them useful and see you soon!!

Long time no see! my thesis is literally eating me alive and it's difficult to find the time to post, but I always manage to buy new nail polishes ( my wallet is still recovering from the assault). These are the swatches and I hope you'll like them!



Lasciatemelo dire : io AMO questo smalto!E' il numero 970 "Stella" della Sinful colors.E' un colore molto particolare e particolarmente elegante a mio parere, un marroncino chiaro con microglitter, una volta asciutto è semi matte e stranamente mi piace tantissimo ( in genere non amo gli smalti matte, li trovo poco luminosi). Per ottenere una buona coprenza necessita di due passate ma asciuga molto velocemente e mi è durato anche 5 giorni senza base nè top coat.

Let me say this : I LOVE this nail polish! It's Sinful Colors 970 "Stella". It's a unique colour and very chic in my opinion, a light brown with golden microglitters, once dried it's semi matte and strangely I like it so much (generally I don't love matte nail polishes, I find them not so bright). To achieve a good coverage it needs two coats but dries quickly and it lasted 5 days on my nails without a base and a top coat.






Questo è il Ceramic Effect 12 della Layla, appartiene alla famiglia dei taupe ed è tendente al grigio con dei microriflessi violetti che non sono riuscita a catturare nella foto. I Ceramic Effect mi piacciono molto perchè sono molto coprenti, nella maggior parte dei casi basta una passata, e sono iperlucidi quindi niente top coat!

This is Layla Ceramic Effect n° 12, it belongs to the taupe family and it leans toward grey with violet shimmer which I haven't been able to capture in the photo. I really like Ceramic Effect line because in most cases you'll need only one coat to achieve full coverage and they're also super sleek so no top coat needed!



Parlando di questo smalto, Catrice 060 "Mona Lisa is staring back" ,devo dire che è stato un pò una delusione : è un bellissimo colore , è un smalto nude beige rosato leggermente shimmer, ma non riesco a farlo durare più di un giorno sulle mie unghie! qualcun altra ha avuta una brutta esperienza con questo colore o sono l'unica?

Talking about this polish, Catrice 060 "Mona Lisa is staring back", I have to say that it's been a disappointment : it' a beautiful shade, a nude beige with a hint of pink with some shimmer in it, but I can't make it last more than one day on my nails! some of you also had a bad experience with this shade or am I the only one?


Questo è uno dei mie abbinamenti preferiti : China Glaze 231 "Nasty" e il top coat nero Graffiti Effect della Layla! I top coat effetto graffiti sono stati un must dello scorso inverno e ne ho diversi altri che vi mostrerò, in generale quelli non metallizzati perchè l'effetto si nota di più e non c'è bisogno di passare uno smalto trasparente sopra.

This is one of my favourite combos : Layla black Graffiti Effect top coat over China Glaze 231 "Nasty"! These kind of top coat have been a must have last winter e I do have some of them to show you, I prefer the non metallic ones because the effect is more defined and you don't have to add a clear polish coat.



Qui ho usato il n° 70232 "Oxygen" della China Glaze e il top coat 05 "Time for reflection" della Essence, l'effetto mi piace anche se non cambia di molto il colore originale di Oxygen ma aggiunge soltanto un riflesso azzurrino nemmeno troppo evidente.

Here I used Essence n° 05 "Time for reflection" top coat over China Glaze 70232 "Oxygen", I like the result even if it doesn't change the Oxygen that much.



Qui ho usato il numero 802 "San Francisco" della Sinful Colors sul Ceramic Effect numero 32 della Layla, l'effetto non mi sembra malaccio anche se lo vedo più adatto al periodo natalizio ma non chiedetemi il perchè :D.

Here I've used Sinful Colors 802 "San Francisco" as a base and Layla Ceramic Effect n° 32 as a top coat, the result it's not so bad but I find it more suitable for Christmas time but don't ask me why :D



Questo smalto della Kiko, n° 348, non mi ha fatto impazzire quando me l'hanno regalato perchè è un grigio medio senza riflessi di alcun tipo, ho provato ad usarlo con il glitter topper 02 "Julia" della Essence e devo dire che migliora proprio tanto! L'unica cosa odiosa è la fatica che ci vuole per togliere quei glitter quando decido di cambiare smalto -_-'

This nail polish, Kiko n° 348, has been given to me by my aunt and I didn't like it because it' a a medium grey without shimmers or glitters, I tried to use it with Essence glitter topper n° 02 "Julia" and I must say that it really improves this way! The only thing I hate it's removing those glitter -_-' it's so difficult!
